TOOL SUMMARY

Latch hooking is a craft that creates a small shag rug to display or make into a throw pillow.

Latch hook kits are available to buy online, but the design can't be customized.

The Custom Hook Rug Grid tool creates a latch hook kit out of any JPG or PNG that you choose.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

There are 2 python scripts stored in the GitHub repository pixelate:

01_herrschners.py: Converts the images of rug yarn available on the Herrschner's website into R/B/Gs. Doesn't have to be run more than once.
02_pixelate.py: Converts image of choosing into an XLS latch hook grid, and summarizes the number of each color yarn package you need to purchase. There are 3 arguments:

The name folder of the chosen JPG/PNG within the fig folder
Specify if the image is JPG or PNG
Specify how many columns of yarn you want for your custom grid
